Website

TTL Images Photography

TTL Images was looking for a portfolio site where they could showcase their photographs in an aesthetic, efficient and cost effective manner. Although not all websites are suited to being created in all Flash, a purely portfolio site is one that is. If a budget allows, a parallel site that is in HTML can be created as an option for those who don't want to view or cannot due to bandwidth limitations can be created as well.

By customizing a pre-existing templated Flash site, the cost factor of having a pure Flash site was minimized. We continue to provide web site maintenance for TTL Images.

TTL Images Photography website is no longer online.

Logo

TTL Images Photography

The logo for TTL Images came about from a combination of the web site design and what it is that "TTL" stands for. John wanted the logo to represent a visual of the meaning behind TTL, "Through The Lens". By combining a digital image of the lens of his camera along with the butterfly from the web site and the colors, the logo visually represents the company well.

We asked Merlee for a photography web site that was easy to navigate, professional and creative, and she absolutely delivered! Not only do we love our web site but we have also received numerous compliments from others who have visited our site! We highly recommend Merlee as a web site designer, she is extremely talented, competent, and incredibly creative!

Case Study

In the creation of a full-Flash website for TTL Images, we started with a template which we then fully customized to meet the client's needs. The choice of flash for this particular project was crucial to visually display the portfolios of the photographer in a highly creative and artistic manner, while still being able to maintain acceptable load times. Flash provides excellent compression for images and also provides security, allowing the owner of the images to feel comfortable in posting their work to the internet without worrying that their images will be downloaded by unauthorized persons.

To maintain the affordability of the site, it was not recreated in an HTML version, although the main page has the META data on the page for the search engines, and there are linking pages which are purely HTML to allow for reciprocal linking. Additional HTML pages can be added in at any time, so the website is fully expandable, and creating a static version is always a possibility in the future.

Along with the website, we also created a logo for TTL Images.
