MutinyWare is a start-up web-based software development company.
MutinyWare is a company that I am also part of, as founder and designer. Coming up with the design for Mutiny was both easy and difficult at the same time. We knew we wanted a nautical theme, due to the word "Mutiny", but didn't want to end up being very "piratey" either. We wanted to show some sense of the old-fashioned, along with modern elements.
The logo has gone through many iterations before coming to rest as a shield. Again, this brings in the sense of the old, and the graphical styles are more modern.
The website for MutinyWare is pure fun. The look we wanted to achieve was old fashioned, graphical, and that would be a fun site to visit. We definitely wanted to avoid the very corporate look and feel that is consistent with most software development companies, as we want to become much more personal in our business.
Between the scroll, old maps, and wood grain images, we have combined a nautical theme with a old-fashioned map style. The website for Mutiny has been kept to a minimum, to be clear, concise and to the point.
Here are the product logos for software created by MutinyWare.
