The Gosselin Group, Inc. is a woman-owned civil engineering and surveying consulting firm located in SE Grand Rapids, Michigan. The firm undertakes civil engineering and surveying services for both public and private sector clients.

The president of The Gosselin Group, Deb Gosselin, wanted a design that was both feminine and technical, without being "girly". We worked out a design and color scheme that was right up their alley, which we feel represents the civil engineering field, while still maintaining a feminine and aesthetic look and feel. The site includes a custom blog.

We continue to provide web site maintenance services and additional design services for The Gosselin Group, Inc.

I gave Merlee only the most minimal of directions ("make it techy and feminine at the same time") and she came up with a terrific masthead design for my website on the first try. The website design from there was appealing and functional and I am very pleased. Having had a bad experience with another web design firm, it was especially wonderful to deal with the professionalism of Merlee Designs!

Case Study

The website for The Gosselin Group, Inc., a civil engineering firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is very customized, and was designed to meet the Owner's specifications.

Deb Gosselin, president of the firm, wanted a subtly feminine, yet technical design. Working with an existing logo, we determined a contrasting color scheme, and brought in elements of a civil engineering style, along with some angles and curves to reflect the logo throughout the design. The colors are soft and soothing, bringing a feminine touch to the site without being "girly".
